Overview

This dashboard monitors live Win and Place odds for every horse in the current race. It automatically detects significant odds movements and fires alerts to Discord and here in real time. Data refreshes every 5 seconds.

The Odds Chart

Each coloured line represents one horse. The Y axis uses a logarithmic scale so short and long-priced horses have equal visual space.

Reading the chart

• Line moving down — odds shortening, horse being backed
• Line moving up — odds drifting
• Red/bold line — current race favourite

Toggles

Win / Place — switch between bet types. Odds / % Chg — raw prices or movement relative to opening.

Horse pills

Click any pill below the chart to hide or show that horse's line.

Alert Indicators

Vertical coloured lines mark the exact moment each alert fired:

• Drop 20% — HKJC native. Solid green line. ≥20% drop from opening.
• Drop 40% — Custom calculated. Dashed amber. ≥40% drop, Win or Place.
• Drop 50% — HKJC native. Solid dark red. ≥50% drop. Primary signal.
• Fav Change — Dashed red. Favourite horse has changed.

Each line is labelled with the horse number and trigger odds (e.g. #6 @4.2).

Pool Volume Chart

Shows Win pool, Place pool and Race Total (Win + Place) over time. Most money enters in the final 5–8 minutes before post time.

Live Alerts Feed

Each alert shows the alert type, horse, trigger odds, current odds, and time in HKT. Use the filter chips to show/hide specific alert types.

The Theory

HKJC occasionally prices horses artificially high at the start of betting. Sharp money corrects the price over 20–30 minutes. These moves happen in roughly 3 out of every 4 races. The 50% drop alert is the primary signal — when it fires, check the chart to see the shape of the move.

The 40% custom alert tracks both Win and Place odds independently, so a horse can trigger both a 40% W and 40% P alert.
